In the Spotlight

So, I normally wouldn't post this here, but I liked the shading on this picture too much not to post it.

Fierglief helped me out tonight with practicing shading and coloring a picture, and I think it came out really well. Without his help I wouldn't have been able to do this at all. It's the colored version of this image that he had drawn for me a few days ago. Since the sketch didn't have hands, I didn't draw them in because I wasn't about to draw in those demonic incarnations.

I know there are some issues with some of the lines around the edges, but that as due to not going around and cleaning up all the edges around the drawing after using the wand to select it (selecting the outside and the inverting the selection lets me color and shade the drawing freely without messing up any of the background, which makes it amazingly quick to color).

When I first started coloring after shading the picture, I accidentally had the color layers over the lineart layer, but due to all the time I had spent shading the pecs and abs, that actually came out really well for being lineless. The issue was that without lines, the head was just not nearly detailed or lighted enough for it to work, and the arms needed more shading for it to work too which I was kind of done with at the hour I was working on it. Here is a sample screenshot I had taken.

At some point I'll give lineless another shot, but that won't be for some time.
